Domremy College is seeking to appoint an outstanding, innovative and experienced teacher with a strong academic background for the leadership position of Science Coordinator to commence Term 1 2023. This position is a permanent full time 2 point remuneration.

<p><b>About the role: </b></p><p>As a member of the Middle Leadership Team, the Science Coordinator shares the responsibility for leadership of the vision, mission and strategic priorities and contributes to the life and management of the College. The Science Coordinator is a delegated responsibility by the Principal for leadership in the Pastoral, Wellbeing and Learning dimension which incorporates vertical Homerooms strengthened by Houses. The Science Coordinator works with the College Leadership Team, KLA Coordinators and Pastoral teams within a professional learning community context to enhance the academic wellbeing of all students with a focus on a positive growth mindset. </p><p>As a member of Domremy College, the role requires a commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for young women in the Presentation tradition. In line with the College&#39;s Vision for Learning, it is expected that the successful applicant will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring young women to love learning, excel in their subject area and promote personal excellence. </p><p>The successful applicant will: </p><ul><li>Demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic school. </li><li>Show highly developed skills in leadership. </li><li>Collaborate with staff and parents to meet the wellbeing, pastoral and learning needs of students. </li><li>Be an active listener with excellent communication, verbal and written skills. </li><li>Highly skilled in interpersonal relationships with students, staff and parents. </li><li>Use of creative and innovative teaching practice to provide a rich environment that caters for diversity which in turn will meet the needs of all students.</li><li>Be able to successfully integrate technology into everyday learning and planning. </li><li>Have effective administrative and organisational skills. </li></ul><p>Interested applicants should submit an expression of interest by forwarding a covering letter outlining their motivation and experience to The Principal.
