<p><b><u>TEACHING, LEARNING &amp; CURRICULUM</u></b></p><ul><li>Curriculum planning and implementation for Years 7 – 13</li><li>Specific focus on inclusion of the ‘Approaches to Learning’ throughout the curriculum</li><li>Curriculum review and development in line with school policy</li><li>Production and up-dating of schemes of work available to all on Smart</li><li>Monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning within the department</li><li>Overseeing the learning environment, including displays of work</li><li>Enabling appropriate cross-phase and cross-curricular liaison</li><li>Developing, encouraging and evaluating trans-disciplinary projects</li><li>Supporting and encouraging the appropriate use of technology with regards to teaching and learning</li><li>Working in conjunction with the Learning Support department to develop appropriate pathways for all students</li><li>Responsibility for student’s progress and welfare within the department</li><li>Setting up, operating, monitoring and standardising departmental marking and assessment procedures, within the framework of the school policy.
