We are looking for a passionate and driven Religious Education Coordinator to enrich the lives of our students in the Catholic learning communities at our schools.

Chisholm prides itself on being a safe, honest and respectful learning community and we aim for our students and we encourage them to accept responsibility for their learning and behaviour. We aim to develop students who are confident, independently minded and well-placed to contribute to a just society, as well as having a deep understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic faith.</p> <p dir="ltr">We are seeking a passionate and committed Religious Education Coordinator to share in the leadership of the Catholic school community by supporting the Principal and Leadership Team.&nbsp;This role will commence as soon as possible, by negotiation in Term 1, 2023.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About us</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">CSPD is committed to responding to the needs of all students. In addition, you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ensure that the school delivers high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community it serves which is embedded in the Catholic world view</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Lead a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Contribute a deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and in enhancing the liturgical, sacramental and spiritual life of the school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Build the necessary relationships with the Parish Priest, parents, learning community, Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta and other partners contributing to the work of Catholic schooling&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you (selection criteria)</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A strong commitment to the Catholic faith in practice and lifestyle, witness and modelling</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A minimum of four years professional qualification in education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Substantial currency in Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">An understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice, and an ability to ensure this is evident in the teaching within the school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Capacity to challenge and lead a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and its teaching and is aligned with the system strategic intent</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive peer relationships and engage actively within the school community</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Commitment to modelling school values and integrity</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and Accreditations required</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Master of Religious Education/Theology or commitment to complete within four years of appointment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)<br><br></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
