St Francis College Leeton are looking for an Aboriginal School and Community Worker to undertake a temporary part-time position with them starting Monday 13 February 2023 to Monday 16 December 2023.

<p>St Francis De Sales Regional College is a Catholic Co-educational Day and Weekly Boarding School providing a comprehensive education across Years 7-12, for students from Leeton, Narrandera and surrounding rural areas in the Riverina. </p><p>We focus on students as individuals and aim to develop their own personal skills by providing a broad curriculum, enriched with many extra-curricular and sporting activities. We adopt a ‘restorative justice’ approach to our everyday life at the College, and encourage students to reflect upon Gospel values in their approach to their own learning. </p><p> </p><p>Our outstanding reputation has evolved from our commitment to providing the best possible education to every student, underpinned by our core purpose—to educate the whole person. </p><p><b>Work Schedule:</b></p><p>Monday - 9am - 2:30pm (30 min break)</p><p>Tuesday - 9am - 2:30pm (30 min break)</p><p>Wednesday - 9am - 2:30pm (30 min break)</p><p>Thursday - 9am - 2:30pm (30 min break)</p><p><b>What we can offer:</b></p><p><b></b></p><ul><li>Part-time Temporary position commencing 13 February 2023 to Monday 16 December 2023.<br /></li><li>Access to our Employee Assistance Program.</li><li>Attractive salary packaging arrangements.</li><li>Salary: Level 4/1 $30.32 per hour (Averaged - Does not work during school break)</li></ul><p><b>Primary purpose of the position: </b></p><p><b> </b></p><p>This role exists to support Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga, to provide a welcoming and safe place for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children.<br /></p><p>As the schools are located in Wiradjuri (and Yorta Yorta) country, in accordance with our tradition, the term Aboriginal will be used to refer to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, parents and carers.<br /></p><p>The Aboriginal School and Community Worker (ASCW) will engage in opportunities which support the learning, pastoral and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal students, their families and community.
