The Learning Support Officer facilitates the inclusion of students with diverse learning needs and assists teachers in the implementation of adjustments to enhance students’ personal and academic outcomes.

Our young men are challenged to achieve as highly as possible in their academic studies as they discern the appropriate pathway to their future ambitions.<br /></p><p><b>The Role</b><br /></p><p>The Student Support Services (SSS) Team provides support to students with diverse learning needs including students with additional needs, highly able students, students with disabilities, students with Refugee Status, culturally, linguistically and culturally diverse students and First Nations students. </p><p> </p><p>We are seeking to appoint a highly-motivated individual with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with relevant experience and qualifications as a Learning Support Officer.<br /></p><p>The Learning Support Officer facilitates the inclusion of students with diverse learning needs and assists teachers in the implementation of adjustments to enhance students’ personal and academic outcomes. </p><p><b>Attributes / Skills and Experience</b><br /></p><p>It is expected that the successful applicant will:<br /></p><p>• have successfully completed a Certificate III in Education Support or higher qualification</p><p>• be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic</p><p>• have some experience working with students with a diverse range of needs </p><p>• display effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to be use initiative within the class environment to ensure optimal student support </p><p>• be self-motivated and able to work independently if necessary </p><p>• have the capacity to cater effectively for a diverse range of learning needs </p><p>• be able to build positive relationships with children and assist in creating learning environments where all are valued and challenged </p><p>• demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students </p><p>A commitment to child safety is essential, to be considered for this position with candidates currently possessing, or willingness to obtain, a Working with Children Check. </p><p>All Staff are expected to support and participate in the faith life of the College including commitment to the College Mission, ethos, and participate in ongoing professional development and learning. </p><p>These positions are available for immediate start (or by negotiation). Part-time and full-time applications will be considered.
