The experience and teamwork exhibited by our teachers ensures that every child is known and every academic and co-curricular opportunity is offered to allow all students to flourish and grow. </p><p>Our school is part of the <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/about-us" rel="nofollow">Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</a> community which continues to be a thriving and growing contemporary educational community with 147 Catholic primary and secondary schools, more than 71,000 students,10,000 staff and a large alumni community. </p><p><b>About you </b></p><p>As the School Support Officer Level 6, you will represent Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School in a professional, warm, friendly and efficient manner and interact effectively with students, staff and parents, showing discretion and respecting confidentiality. The successful applicant will provide high-level support to the Principal and leadership team as an integral member of the school community, be responsible for the general office duties, including administration and communicating positively with parents, students and staff. </p><p>This is a permanent, part-time (5 days per fortnight with hours negotiable) position to commence Wednesday, 14 June 2023 or by negotiation. </p><p><b>The successful applicant will perform task that include, but not limited to: </b></p><ul><li>providing higher-level administrative support </li><li>coordinating the allocation of administrative work in the office </li><li>providing specialist clerical and administrative leadership to the Principal, school leadership team, teaching and support staff </li><li>engaging in regular communications with the Principal and other school community members concerning school administrative systems, including occupational health and safety, finance, recruitment and staff development, maintenance of facilities, and planning work priorities in the office </li><li>providing financial administration </li><li>providing site induction and maintaining school health and safety systems and records </li><li>managing and maintaining registers </li><li>providing management in administration, human resources, financial, school fees, office leadership, and associated reports to the Principal. </li></ul><p><b>The successful applicant will demonstrate: </b></p><ul><li>a willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools </li><li>administrative/clerical experience </li><li>experience working with children/working in a school </li><li>experience in financial/administrative management </li><li>sound personal qualities of tact, reliability, and an ability to work with others individually and as a team member </li><li>honesty, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times </li><li>strong interpersonal and organisational skills </li><li>experience with emerging technologies, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office software, Google Chrome, Compass, CiAnywhere as well as a good understanding of Facilities tasks and WHS. </li></ul><p><b>Application Process: </b></p><ul><li>Please submit the following via email to Ms Michelle Bourne, Principal; </li><li>cover letter </li><li>current resume </li><li>three referees, including name and contact details. </li></ul><p>℅: <a href="michelle.bourne&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">michelle.bourne&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p><b>Applications close: Friday, 31 March 2023 </b></p><p><b>Working With Children Check (WWCC)<br /></b>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment.</p>
