St. Joseph's Primary School is a small Catholic Primary school located in the heart of Malvern and has served the parish for nearly 130 years. We firmly believe that the wellbeing of children is fundamental to high outcomes in learning. We are committed to the explicit teaching of foundational skills in English and Mathematics, as we know that these skills and understandings provide the building blocks for all future learning. We aim to provide a broad, contemporary curriculum, which provides learning experiences that cater for individual student’s needs and inspire a love of learning.
At St. Joseph’s we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school. At all times, the ongoing safety and wellbeing of all children at St. Joseph’s will be the primary focus of care and decision-making, with particular attention paid to the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, as well as the safety of children with a disability.
