OLSH has an exciting position as Early Years Leader (FaFT and Preschool) available in term 3.

<p>Our Lady of the sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College is in Wadeye, a large Aboriginal community situated approximately 400km South-West of Darwin with a population of around 3000 people on Diminin land. Most local Aboriginal people speak Murrinhpatha as a first language. OLSH is a bilingual school, while at preschool children are educated in a strong bilingual program which provides the building blocks for rich play-based learning. Children enjoy coming together for singing, dancing, playing games and listening to stories. Through our daily routine children build their confidence and cultural identity. </p><p>Position summary </p><p>The Preschool Educational Leader is responsible for the leadership of the Pre-School and works closely with the Families as First Teachers (FaFT) Program. </p><p>• Supervise and support the Assistant Director- Preschool </p><p>• Ensure compliance with the Australian Early Years Framework, NQS and National Regulations </p><p>• Prepare for and coordinate ACECQA Assessment and Ratings </p><p>• Ensure reporting for Preschool is carried out in a timely manner </p><p>• Assist the FaFT Family Educator in Quarterly reports and annual plan, as required </p><p>• Liaise with CEONT Early Years Education Officer and undertake reporting required by CEO </p><p>• Management of resources and the monitoring of the school budget where it relates to the Preschool </p><p>• Assist in the recruitment and selection of new staff for the Early Years of the School </p><p>• Implement, organize and oversee the professional development program for Preschool staff </p><p>• Supervise and consult with Early Years staff (teachers and assistant teachers). </p><p>• Monitor and increase attendance in Preschool </p><p>• Coordinate with other agencies working with children in the zero to five age group in the community </p><p>• Plan the pre-school enrolment process each year </p><p>• Liaise with staff to implement a transition to school program </p><p>• With other members of the leadership team assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures </p><p>• Adhere with all WHS processes and procedures </p><p>• Other school wide tasks as delegated by the College Principal </p><p>• Support the maintenance of the Catholic Ethos of the School</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>Benefits </p><p>Relocation assistance, generous travel allowance, fully furnished housing, power and water.</p><p>A successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law and will require a NT Working with Children Card.
