Trinity Anglican School is seeking an experienced Head of Business Services to provide strategic leadership of its business operations, including finances, human resources, IT, marketing, facilities and compliance.

<p>Trinity Anglican School (TAS) caters for students in Kindergarten to Year 12 and is a highly regarded pillar of education since it opened its doors 40 years ago. TAS is located in the tropical North Queensland city of Cairns, a region known for its unique combination of natural beauty, biodiversity, and cultural significance, and two UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics rainforest. Located on two campuses and featuring a state-of-the-art STEM building and the first Olympic-sized swimming pool in Cairns, TAS inspires young men and women to be the best they can be, with a focus on Christian values, educational excellence, and contribution to the local and global community. </p><p>After an outstanding contribution overseeing a significant period of strategic growth, the current Head of Business Services is moving towards retirement, resulting in this unique opportunity. Working closely and strategically with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Business Services provides high level strategic advice and analysis in relation to financial planning and budgeting, early childhood education and care, human resource management, and facility and asset management. This position leads and manages the strategic operations of the school to ensure the day to day financial, physical and school support resources are managed professionally. The successful candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, be an agile, adaptive and strategic thinker, with astute financial, compliance and project management expertise. The Head of Business Services role also includes the Company Secretary function. </p><p>This is an exciting and rare opportunity to use your impressive business management skills and experience to contribute to the ongoing success of one of the leading independent schools in North Queensland. You will be a significant part of continuing the planning and implementation of a sustainable period of growth at TAS. Commencement date is negotiable depending on the applicant. </p><p>The successful applicant will: </p><p>• Have experience in a finance, commercial, strategic and governance role with budget management. </p><p>• Have experience with management of capital projects, master planning and scenario development. </p><p>• Have proven ability in contract management and HR functions. </p><p>• Be able to provide oversight of all business operations. </p><p>• Have demonstrated capacity to lead teams and build strong, collaborative and professional relationships. </p><p>• Possess a tertiary degree in business, management or equivalent – an MBA will be highly regarded. </p><p>Is the Cairns life for me?
