The College promotes the pursuit of academic excellence and social responsibility and aspires to develop people of faith with high moral standards and integrity. </p><p>The College endeavours to foster the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional needs of each student and has adopted a family centered approach toward education and a commitment toward supporting each student and every family in their endeavours to strive to live out the values of the College in an Australian local and global context. </p><p><b>About the role </b></p><p>We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and outstanding teacher to support and coordinate core curriculum requirements for the mathematics team. In addition to teaching load, the successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and a thorough knowledge of the NSW Education Standards Authority, Teaching and Educational Standards requirements. </p><p>Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: </p><ul><li>Strong interpersonal skills to manage a variable and diverse faculty to encourage effective communication and improve student learning outcomes</li><li>Relevant educational qualifications and experience gained in a similar role with sound understanding of the Australian curriculum</li><li>Innovative classroom practitioner with a proven record of student outcomes</li><li>High level of ICT skills, knowledge, and effective incorporation into classroom practice</li><li>Oversight of programs to ensure all staff in the department are teaching the program appropriately, with particular reference to the content being taught in a relevant and engaging way and an appropriate integration of technology.</li><li>The ability to form positive relationships with mathematics teachers in the ongoing development of the curriculum and enhancing the interest and capability of students in 7-12</li><li>Assist in the preparation of all examinations, tests, and assignments within the department.</li><li>Ensure teachers adhere to curriculum processes including the programs, assessment guidelines, data collection, scope and sequence documents and monitoring documentation.</li><li>Organise and chair regular departmental meetings.</li><li>Plan and oversee appropriate excursions or learning experiences for the students.</li><li>Maintains currency with Workplace Health and Safety principles and practices, including risk assessment procedures.</li><li>Meets regularly with the Head of Senior School and Deputy Head of Senior School to ensure the effective coordination of procedures as outlined above.</li></ul><p><b>Key Selection Criteria: Personal Qualities: </b></p><ul><li>Pastoral care leadership</li><li>Educational leadership</li><li>Interpersonal leadership</li></ul><p><b>The successful applicant will have demonstrated:</b></p><ul><li>Knowledge of curriculum and assessment with the ability to lead and maintain curriculum procedures.</li><li>Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.</li></ul><p><b>Conditions </b></p><ul><li>Appropriate teaching qualifications to Higher School Certificate level</li><li>Accreditation with NESA to teach in NSW or be an existing teacher</li><li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)</li></ul><p>Salaries and conditions for the position are governed by the Independent Schools NSW (Hybrid Model) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021. </p><p><b>What next? </b></p><p>Applicants must send their curriculum vitae and an expression of interest letter outlining how they fulfil the selection criteria to the Head of Senior School, Ms Mouina Ramadan <a href="mailto:mouina.ramadan&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">mouina.ramadan&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au</a> and <a href="mailto:hr&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">hr&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au</a></p><p>Applications Close: Friday, 16th June 2023.
