We are seeking a motivated and highly experienced finance professional to join our College. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director, Finance and Business Services is responsible for strategic and operational leadership, and the development of high performing finance function to support delivery of the College’s strategic intent

<p>St Peters is a Co-Educational Day and Boarding School of the Lutheran Church located on 50 acres just 7 kilometres from Brisbane CBD. Established in 1945 St Peters has developed an enviable reputation in academic scholarship, pastoral care and breadth of co-curricular programs, through which it seeks to provide an exceptional student experience. Together Academic Staff and Corporate Staff provide an outstanding educational environment for students to grow and flourish.</p><p>We are seeking a motivated and highly experienced finance professional to join our College. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director, Finance and Business Services is responsible for strategic and operational leadership, and the development of high performing finance function to support delivery of the College’s strategic intent. Breadth of expertise, leadership experience, ability to balance strategic and operational priorities, present to high level committees and work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and College Staff are fundamental requirements of the role.</p><p>The successful candidate will have:</p><ul><li>Tertiary qualifications in accounting and CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable but not essential</li><li>Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in mid-senior level finance management position within a complex environment (minimum 7 years relevant experience)</li><li>Extensive experience overseeing financial management, reporting, and accounting services</li><li>Ability to provide strategic advice and long term strategic financial modelling and analysis to Boards and the executive</li><li>Demonstrated leadership with proven ability to develop and support a high performing team and establish effective relationships with peers and stakeholders</li><li>Exceptional time management skills, ability to prioritise competing demands, meet strict deadlines and work effectively in a high-volume environment</li><li>Experience and understanding of operating rhythms in an Independent School or education sector will be highly regarded</li></ul><p>To view the position description for this role, please select the link to the Position Description below. To apply, please submit a cover letter, selection criteria response (no more than 4 pages) and resume via the link provided.</p><p>For any questions relating to this position, please contact Karen Hill - Chief Operating Officer on 07 3377 6591.<br /></p><p>Applications close Monday, 5 June 2023 at 4:00pm AEST.
