St Dominic’s College, Kingswood is a Catholic school in the Blessed Edmund Rice tradition conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1959, the College has a current enrolment of 1000 boys, Years 7 – 12. <p>St Dominic’s College, Kingswood is looking to appoint a highly motivated, suitably qualified temporary full time Teacher’s Aide with an immediate start, that can be negotiated with the College Principal. </p><p>The position concludes the 30th June 2023 at the end of Term 2, with the possibility of ongoing casual employment as a Teacher’s Aide after the conclusion of the period. </p><p>The successful applicant will support the College community by working collaboratively in our Diverse Learning Department, having appropriate qualifications and experience in an educational setting. </p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the advancement of student learning and; </p><ul><li>Will be a Qualified Teacher&#39;s Aide with the skills and capabilities to support the Diverse Learning Department.  </li><li>Must have a strong commitment and/or appreciation of Catholic values, morals and faith. </li><li>Will be able to provide students with a positive learning environment, utilising strong communication and inter-personal skills. </li><li>Will be able to demonstrate a commitment to improving student outcomes.  </li><li>Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the unique pastoral needs of young men. </li><li>Will be able to demonstrate a high ICT skillset within a contemporary learning environment.  </li><li>Must have a strong work ethic and a commitment to ongoing professional development.  </li><li>Must have the capacity to work collegially with an established Diverse Learning team under the guidance of the Diverse Learning Coordinator </li></ul><h4>Highly desirable criteria: </h4><ul><li>Well developed, interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents in enhancing the quality of learning and development of young minds </li><li>Have a demonstrated ability to work with staff collaboratively in the development of personalised plans </li><li>Experience in collecting and documenting evidence and data for census information for the NCCD </li><li>Be able to work independently, including well developed organisational skills and a motivation to complete tasks to a high standard </li></ul><p>Applicants are encouraged to visit the College website www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au for further information about the College. </p><p>Inquiries for the position can be directed to the Human Resources Manager, Melissa Gorham via hr&#64;stdominics.nsw.edu.au </p><h4>Applications should include: </h4><ul><li>A covering letter addressing the highly desirable and essential criteria (1-2 page maximum). </li><li>Current curriculum vitae, detailing professional experience and any qualifications relevant to the role. </li><li>NSW Working With Children Clearance number and date of birth. </li><li>COVID-19 vaccination status. </li><li>Name and contact details for three (3) referees, including your current employer (where applicable). </li></ul><p><br /></p><p>If you are interested in joining St Dominic’s College, you are encouraged to submit your application to the College Principal, Mr Simon Abernethy, via email to hr&#64;stdominics.nsw.edu.au by 9am Friday 2nd June 2023. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Due to the nature of this position, applications will be reviewed as received and may be invited for an interview and appointed prior to the closing date. </b></p><p><i><br /></i></p><p><i>At St Dominic&#39;s College we are committed to ensuring that our recruitment practices create a safe and supportive environment for all students.
