Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p><b>Location: </b>St Pauls Catholic College - Greystanes</p><p>St Pauls Catholic College Greystanes is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Diversity Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p> <p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p>The Diversity Teacher will fit the following criteria:</p> <p>-Extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding of how the identified subject areas are learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn the subject matter and how the learning and teaching of the subject matter can be enhanced.</p> <p>-Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learning.</p> <p>-Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback.</p> <p>-Committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development.</p> <p>-Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students.</p> <p>-Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning.</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:</strong></p> <p>-Applicants must be able to work under the Leaders of Diversity to develop inclusive learning environments, inspire, and motivate students to commence and continue required tasks, foster positive relationships, and communicate with staff and students in a timely and respectful manner.</p> <p>-Provide in class support by assisting students with disabilities with their learning needs through reasonable adjustments</p> <p>-Provide assistance to students with disabilities with routine school tasks and assisting with their organisational skills.</p> <p>-Ability to assist students with disabilities to develop social interactions with peers and promote self-esteem of students.</p> <p>-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and co-teach with subject teachers across all KLAs.</p> <p>-Demonstrated ability to work supportively with subject teachers in achieving the goals outlined in students’ Personalised Learning Plans.</p> <p>-Ability to contribute to the development of and maintenance of students’ Personalised Learning Plans.</p> <p>-Ability to read and interpret a range of diagnostic reports.</p> <p>-Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively and sensitively with a broad range of stakeholders including students, parents/carers, subject and year coordinators, executive leadership, school counsellors and health care providers.</p> <p>-Hold a current Working with Children Check.</p> <p>-Hold a Tertiary teaching qualification (primary, secondary or special/inclusive education) according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).</p> <p>-Willingness to liaise with and report to the Leaders of Diversity.</p> <p>Please respond to the above selection criteria in your cover letter.</p> <p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
