<p>The role of the Diverse Learning Teacher is to provide direct and indirect support for students with diverse learning needs and for staff who are teaching students with diverse learning needs.<br /></p><p>The Diverse Learning Teacher will work directly with the Diverse Learning Coordinator and other staff to ensure quality pedagogy and the development of the school as a professional learning community to enhance outcomes for students. </p><p><b>As a member of our Diverse Learning Department, your responsibilities will include: </b></p><p>* Supporting the Marist Catholic culture of the College </p><p>* Providing an exemplary learning support experience for students </p><p>* Understanding of current theory and practices in relation to Special Education </p><p>* Knowledge of, and ability to implement, a range of diagnostic assessments </p><p>* Demonstrated ability to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching and learning strategies and develop and implement Learning Plans for students with additional educational needs. </p><p>* Work collaboratively with classroom teachers in assessing and monitoring the progress of students. </p><p>* Monitor and evaluate teaching programs for students with special education needs in conjunction with classroom teachers. </p><p>* Assisting with collecting and collating the evidence required to include students in the NCCD. </p><p>* Working effectively with the Faculty Coordinator to implement the aims and practices of the faculty and College </p><p>* Be willing to contribute to the College&#39;s academic, spiritual and co-curricular life. </p><p><b>To be successful in the role you will have: </b></p><p>* Experience in learning support in secondary school </p><p>* Required qualifications to teach in NSW schools </p><p>* A commitment to the Catholic and Marist educational values </p><p>* A commitment to child safety </p><p>* The ability to work collaboratively with peers and leadership </p><p>* A commitment to ongoing personal professional development </p><p>* Formal qualifications in Special Education would be highly desirable </p><p>The Diverse Learning Teacher position may carry a teaching load at the discretion of the Principal.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b> </b></p><p><b> </b></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
