Marist College Canberra is currently seeking a Religious Education Classroom Teacher to join our team full-time for Semester 2 2023 to cover leave vacancies. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher interested in applying the science of learning to Catholic education and maximising student outcomes. The possibility of an ongoing appointment may become available.

<p>Marist College is a Congregational Catholic school for boys (Year 4-12) operating as part of ‘Marist Schools Australia’. It has an enrolment of approximately 1750 students, and enjoys an excellent reputation for its pastoral care of students, academic studies, cultural and sport pursuits.</p><p> </p><p>Marist College Canberra is currently seeking a Religious Education Classroom Teacher to join our team for Semester 2 2023 to cover two long service leave vacancies. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher interested in applying the science of learning to Catholic education and maximising student outcomes. The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications in teaching Religious Education from Years 7 – 12 and would be working with a committed and innovative team of educators. The possibility of an ongoing appointment may become available.</p><p>Staff at Marist College Canberra are responsible for the promotion of an atmosphere of charity and justice within the College, as is expected in a Catholic community and to help ensure the provision of the Catholic perspective in the teaching and learning process and in all the activities of the College.<br /></p><p>All teachers have a responsibility to develop and maintain an understanding of Catholic beliefs and those aspects of Catholic teaching that relate to their subject areas. Through their own example they provide Christian leadership for all members of the school community. </p><p>Only a person supportive of Catholic Education philosophy may be a teacher in a Catholic School.
