Pinnacle College established its first campus at Gilles Plains in 2005, its second campus at Elizabeth East in 2010, and its third campus at Golden Grove in 2019. </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>Pinnacle College is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Officer to join our team. We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officers for a full time permanent position at our Golden Grove campus. The Learning Support Officer will work as an integral part of our Inclusive Education Department in the development of educational programs for students. This will involve a range of classroom and student support activities which contribute to the achievement of literacy and numeracy based outcomes of students in the school. This role will be focused on the support of primary level students. </p><p><b>Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li>Provide classroom support to students with diverse learning needs. </li><li>Work with classroom teachers to support the development of differentiated learning activities and assessments. </li><li>Implement strategies and provide feedback to the Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachers. </li><li>Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessary. </li><li>Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. </li><li>Attend and participate in relevant professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of learning support practices. </li></ul><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Certificate II or higher in Education Support or similar. </li><li>Experience working with students who have additional learning needs. </li><li>A passion for inspiring students to learn. </li><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity. </li><li>Flexibility and an ability to work collaboratively. </li><li>Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms. </li><li>A commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the College. </li><li>Working with Children Check. </li></ul><p><b>Child Safety Statement </b></p><ul><li>Pinnacle College is committed to child safety. </li><li>We want children to be safe, happy and empowered. </li><li>We support and respect all children, as well as our staff and volunteers. </li><li>We are committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all children. </li><li>We have zero tolerance of child harm, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently with our robust policies and procedures. </li><li>We have legal and moral obligations to contact authorities when we are worried about a child’s safety, which we follow rigorously. </li></ul><p><b>Application Process </b></p><p>Please address applications to the Principal, and include a resume and cover letter that includes how your skills and experience suit the role, and your reasons for applying.
