The successful applicant will have strong knowledge, experience and skills in administration.<b>They will assist specifically with improving school attendance. This position is for 30 hours per week.</b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>The key duties of this role:</b></p><ul><li>Supporting the continuing improvement of student attendance </li><li>Tracking and reporting on student attendance</li><li>Regular communication with parents and staff to support student attendance</li><li>Assisting with office duties as required</li><li>Other administrative duties as directed by the Principal</li><li>Providing support to parents, staff and students, delivering outstanding and empathetic customer service at all times</li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Essential criteria</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated support for the ethos of Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>Highly developed verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><ul><li>Experience in administration/clerical support with well developed and adaptable ICT skills</li><li>The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and contribute to a positive work environment</li><li>A mature, friendly and highly professional approach to working with colleagues, parents, students and community members of diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Outstanding professional presentation</li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Desirable criteria</b></p><ul><li>Practising Catholic</li><li>Relevant experience in a Catholic school environment, particularly in a secondary context</li><li>Experience in using the Compass school administration system </li><li>Spoken fluency in a community language would be advantageous in this role</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Please note candidates may be interviewed and appointed prior to the closing date.</b></p><p>Working With Children Check (WWCC)</p><p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment.</p><p><br /></p>
