<p><b>Location:</b> Magdalene Catholic College, Narellan</p><p dir="ltr">Magdalene Catholic College is a systemic co-educational high school in the Macarthur region within the Diocese Wollongong. Established to support the communities around Camden, Picton, Narellan and the Oaks, the College is now in its 24th year of operation. Currently, the College is in the process of moving to 7 streams and, at present, has 1125 students from Years 7-12. The College provides a learning environment which places students at the centre. The successful applicant will be required to provide learning support for students with individualised needs as well as teaching various Learning Support classes.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">The role of Learning Support Teacher exists to support teachers through identifying and responding to the additional learning needs of students, and to assist students with additional learning and support needs through targeted interventions, in class, small group and individual support.</p> <p dir="ltr">ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li dir="ltr">Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li dir="ltr">Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across various KLAs.</li> <li dir="ltr">Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider College community.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">up-to-date knowledge of NCCD procedures and policies including experience working with students with various learning needs would be advantageous.</li> <li dir="ltr">willingness to create and run student interventions is desirable.
